The Lumberg group

Manufacturing: punching and bending technology

Lumberg offers maximum precision in the area of high-speed punching. Depending on the application of the products manufactured, demanding materials such as stainless steel and CuBe2 are machined and, when necessary, galvanically finished afterwards.

Punching room in the Schalks-mühle-Everinghauserheide plant, Germany
Multiple progressive tools are used on high-speed automatic punching machines at up to 1200 strokes
per minute. In this way, steps such as punching, bending, resistance
or laser welding, riveting, cleaning and inspection are carried out in one line and checked using the most modern testing equipment.
Lumberg punches contacts, anten-nas or mechanical components – on reel or in bulk, depending on the requirements. The spectrum
of offerings in this area even includes the smallest, most deli-cate parts.
At the galvanic station, the sur-faces of the punched parts are completely or selectively finished. For example, contact elements are tin plated, silver plated or gold plated, depending on the electric characteristics required.
