The Lumberg group

Development

Design, laboratories and system measurement are the main areas of our development projects. In addition, we work in specialty disciplines such as antenna or electronics development. Utilizing state-of-the-art methods and technologies, Lumberg applies its established development expertise and experience to the advantage of its customers.

The designers can quickly and intuitively develop and modify 3D models using state-of-the-art CAD systems. Standard interfaces en-able the importing and exporting
of 3D models and 2D drawings.
Mechanical, electrical and thermal characteristics, as well as their mutual interactions (connected field problems), can be analyzed with the help of the Finite Element Method (FEM). In addition, acoustic, multi-body and injection mold simulations complete the vir-tual development process.
Measurements of ruled geometries and free-form surfaces, as well as graphic and SPC analyses are car-ried out in System Measurement. Aside from measurement micro-scopes, video-based, non-contact 3D measuring technology is avail-able for use.
Electrical tests and thermography on printed circuit boards and con-tacts
Temperature shock and climatic tests

EMC tests
Chemical stability tests
Mechanical tests: shock and vibra-tion tests
Mechanical tests: force-defection measurements and alternating bending tests
Test of impermeability, for example IP 68
Our very own development labo-ratories possess all equipment necessary for development as well as type and qualification tests. For special inspections a network of laboratories ia available who are accredited or work according to
the DIN/EN/ISO/IEC 17025 norm
